Prospective organizers of special sessions should prepare a one-page proposal in PDF format including the following information:

Title of the session A brief abstract introducing the subject and highlighting its significance Name, affiliation, contact information and a short biography of the session organizer(s) A list of at least four papers to be included in the session. Each paper should include the title, the list of authors, contact information of the corresponding author, and an abstract.

Special session proposals must be submitted via e-mail (hdm2008@erciyes.edu.tr) on or before 16 November 2007.

All proposals will be evaluated by the Scientific Program Committee of the conference. Selection will be based on the quality of the proposal, relevance and timeliness of the subject, and qualifications and experience of the organizer(s) and the authors.

The local organization committee reserves the right to cancel a special session if the number of accepted/registered papers within the session is less than four. If such a situation occurs, the papers submitted to this session will be treated as regular HDM-2008 papers.

Special session papers must conform to the same formatting and submission guidelines and will go through the same review process as regular HDM-2008 papers. The authors of the accepted special session papers will follow the same registration steps as the authors of regular HDM-2008 papers.
